Hey everyone, it's Nico Horning here with the Orange Fizz
0:03
Wanted to bring you another video here in the summer. And today we're on the topic of football
0:08
We're on the topic of Dwight Freeney because he is being inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame
0:13
on August 3rd. I had a chance to catch up with Freeney last week
0:17
at the American Century Championship in Lake Tahoe. It's one of the premier celebrity golf tournaments in the country
0:23
and it's probably the most premier. Around 90 celebrities that compete in this annual summer tournament
0:28
and Dwight Freeney was back for another year of golf. He actually finished around 30th place out of the 90 celebrities
0:34
So he played some good golf. He loves playing golf. But more importantly, we talked about football
0:39
We talked about his induction into the Hall of Fame coming up soon and we also talked about his spin move that he created early on in his career
0:46
that really stood out and is probably one of the best spin moves of all time
0:50
as Aaron Rodgers and Charles Woodson put it. They told me that he had this spin move that was so iconic
0:57
he came up with it and other people could just replicate it or copy it
1:01
DeMarcus Ware, another defensive end for the Broncos and Cowboys told me that he was just trying to replicate Freeney's spin move
1:09
and that Freeney obviously was the creator of that move. So the spin move was a hot topic this week or last week in Lake Tahoe
1:16
But also Dwight Freeney talking about what he's looking forward to about the induction ceremony
1:20
Thanking a lot of the people that he had early in his career both in the NFL but also at Syracuse
1:25
He had a lot of praise for Syracuse. Obviously had a really good senior season in all four years at Syracuse
1:30
Also noted his education and his mentors that he got at Syracuse
1:35
where he said that he really developed into a man there that furthered his NFL career
1:40
He spent most of his career with the Colts, won a Super Bowl in 2007 and obviously had the chance to catch up with him last week
1:46
You can find those two videos, interviews and articles on our Orange Fizz social networks as well as orangefizz.net
