Who is Syracuse's WR1?

What's going on Syracuse fans, Dan Papillo here with the Orange Fizz and you know

Syracuse lacrosse season is winding down, the weather's getting a little warmer

which means all the eyes are on Fran Brown and Syracuse football

Summer camp is right around the corner and there's a lot of questions about this team

that I think we need to dive into. The first one that I definitely think is interesting is who's going to emerge

as the wide receiver one for this program? You know, you have Braylon Kyle McCord this season, you know

the Ohio straight transfer, threw for 3,000 yards last year, but the problem is he had Marvin Harrison Jr. to rely on

And in this offense, he's going to have a lot of variety and different guys that he can choose from

And you know, I think summer camp is the perfect time for one of these guys to emerge

and become that safety blanket for McCord. You're not going to have Aranda Gadsden just yet

He's coming off of that Lisfranc injury. He'll be back for the fall

There's a lot of options that he can pick from. Georgia transfers Jackson Meeks, Zied Haynes, Red Cert junior Trevor Pena

There's just a lot of options, and I'm very intrigued to see who comes out as the number one option

And then another thing we could look at is how are the veterans of this program, guys like Marlo Wax and LaQuinn Allen, going to adjust to the new schemes

brought in by the new coordinators under Brown? Jeff Nixon on the offense is a big fan of the run

which if you're LaQuinn Allen, you've got to love that. I think that's going to be really good for him to get some more touches on the ground

and get those stats up. And then looking on the defensive side of the ball, Elijah Robinson doing more four-down lineman strategy

It gives more opportunities for Marlo Wax to make plays on the ball. So it's going to be interesting to see how those guys adjust

from their already really good seasons under Dino Babers and pushing towards a more aggressive play style
