Was the Loss to Pitt on Kyle McCord?

Breaking down whether last Thursday's loss to pit was on McCord or the entire team

Now, there's a lot of things to break down here. Given Syracuse did lose 41 to 13, but 18 of those points were given away by Kyle McCord

Three pick sixes on the day, a career worst for him. Five interceptions. Also a career worst, his worst QBR of his career

and it just stems back to the fact that you would expect more out of a guy who played at Ohio State, played it in the big house

Sure, he didn't win there, but was still in those different types of environments

You'd expect more out of this guy. Now, some are going to say, hey, it wasn't all McCord's fault

And they do have a point. Syracuse finished with six rushing yards on the day

That's right. Six. Now, given Lequin Allen did rush for 32 yards, but those 32 yards were canceled out by Kyle McCord being six

sacked, which leads into the next point that Syracuse's offensive line needs to be better

Sure, McCord threw five interceptions and you should have ran the ball more after throwing the

first two, but Syracuse was in these third and 20 scenarios throughout the day

It didn't even seem like McCord had time to react. That's why when he was going through his progressions and his checks, he seemed rushed out there on

the field. The offensive line needs to be better for this squad. The defense, you can't blame them

I'm sure Marlow Wax had one. roughing the passer penalty, which could have changed things. But let's be honest here

If your quarterback throws five picks in the game, nothing's going to change. And part of that is on the play calling. And it's also on the offensive line
